What Others Are Saying

Julie T.

I’ve worked with Dr. Brooke Shivers over the past few months on several different issues- I’ve had extreme back pain for over 6 years, recent neck pain, and pain with running. I’m in the Army Reserve and had an upcoming ACFT that I was struggling with due to pain, so I reached out to Dr. Brooke for help. I’m so glad that I did.

My treatment plan has included dry needling, muscle scraping, and a custom home exercise program. I was nervous to try dry needling for the first time, but Dr. Brooke made me feel safe and comfortable with the process. After the first session, I felt so much relief and I was a believer! Dry needling has been a huge part of my recovery process- I was dealing with neck pain for over a month and after one dry needling session it was 90% better the next day.

The ACFT for the Army includes a deadlift event that I was struggling with. We worked on several exercises and dry needling to address my issues. Deadlifts used to destroy my back, sending me into weeklong agony and sciatica where I couldn’t get comfortable in any position- I was completely miserable. I am so happy to say that I just completed my ACFT this past weekend and improved in every event, and with ZERO pain! I felt incredible after the test. Now I’m able to run, lift, and do whatever life demands with minimal or zero pain. Dr. Brooke’s care has completely changed my life.

I’ve been to several PTs in the past and even had a cortisone shot in my back- all with zero improvement or relief. I honestly felt hopeless, like I was going to live with the pain forever- and I kind of just accepted that and tried to live around it. When it got really bad, I decided to try something different, and I am so glad that I did. What makes her care different is that I get an hour of one-on-one attention with a doctor, dry needling, and a custom home exercise plan that is tailored specifically for my needs. Dr. Brooke is professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable.

I am so thankful to have found Dr. Brooke – she has changed my life. I’ve had a drastic improvement in my quality of life since working with her, and I couldn’t recommend her enough. I am no longer fearful of pain from lifting or running- I feel like I got my life back and I wish I started sooner! Thank you for everything Dr. Brooke!
